2022 Men Of The Green Machine- Carson Brooke

Please welcome Carson Brooke to the 2022 Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps!

Carson discovered DCI through some of his friends in the band program at Lake Travis High School in Austin, TX.  He became obsessed with DCI YouTube videos and asked for a complete box set of DVDs for Christmas.  When he discovered a neighbor had been a visual tech for the Blue Knights in 90 and 91, he was fascinated.  We went with our neighbor to the SW Regionals in San Antonio in 2016.  Carson and other family members became fans of the Cavaliers from that day on.  He marched mellophone with the Madison Scouts 2 years prior to Covid, but always aspired to march in the Finals in Indianapolis.  Carson contracted with the Cavaliers in 2020, and skipped 2021.  But now he is back for a full 2022 season with the Cavs!

Carson is a Music Education major at University of North Texas, with a focus on Classical and Jazz piano. He marched in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ireland this year with the UNT Green Brigade Band and next Fall he will be the mellophone section leader for the band.

He enjoys cycling, skateboarding, gaming and and most recently discovered roller blading (he’s already worn down his first set of wheels).  Here are a couple of fun facts about Carson:  he played Austrian cowbells for an elementary talent show, and he played the accordion and piano with the Benny’s Combo and  piano with the 5 O’Clock Lab Band at Spring concerts at UNT.

Welcome, Carson!
