Please welcome Bruce Manning, first year Euphonium, to the 2022 Cavaliers!
Bruce first heard about DCI his sophomore year in high school. He and his older brother went to watch the Houston show that year. His whole family of six went to the show in Denton the next year on the way to visit family out of state.
Bruce choose to audition with the Cavaliers because one of his friends, Dalton Avalos, marched with the Cavaliers. He also has several members from the Spirit of Houston marching with him this year as well as his friend from high school, Reed Beishir.
This is Bruce’s first year marching DCI. He is excited about being a Cavalier and how marching DCI will help make him a more well rounded music educator in the future.
Bruce’s hobbies include practicing his instruments and spending time with family and friends.
Bruce is entering his sophomore year at the University of Houston as a music education major. His primary instrument is the double bass. He has been taking orchestra and band since his 8th grade.
