Welcome to 1st year Mellophone, David Harrell!
David comes from a family a musicians. He started playing trumpet in the 6th grade and has since added tuba, bari sax, mellophone, piano, bass guitar. He learned about DCI from family members but got bit by the bug when the Cavaliers rehearsed at his high school freshman year. From that moment, he made it his goal to someday march with the Cavaliers.
David marched 3 seasons (well 1 was during the pandemic) with the DCA corps Atlanta CV, serving as the mellophone section leader.
David just finished his first year at Jacksonville State University majoring in Music Education. He marched with the Southerners and joined the Phi Mu Alpha fraternity. He enjoys skateboarding, rock climbing and soccer in his free time.
Welcome to the Cavaliers, David! We’re glad to see the “pipeline” from Jacksonville State to Rosemont, Illinois is still bringing in passionate Cavaliers!
