2022 Men of the Green Machine – Hank Dziak

Meet Hank Dziak, member of the 2022 Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Hank will be performing in the color guard this season.

Hank’s first exposure to the marching arts came as a 6th grader, when his older sister was marching in the high school band. With his Mom, Aubry ( welcome to POTC Aubry! ) chaperoning for his older sis, he tagged along with Mom on a contest trip and they were assigned to the color guard bus for the trip. The young ladies in the guard proceeded to evangelize that “color guard is life!” to young Hank, and when the high school guard coach launched a Cadet Guard, Hank was hooked!

Hank is coached by Chris Cook, who saw his passion for the activity and suggested he audition for the Cavaliers. He didn’t exactly prepare his Mom what he was getting into, so she’s learning on the fly…just like we all did!

Outside of color guard, Hank likes anime, video games, and eating Doritos, sour candy, and Mtn Dew. He also has 4 cats (2 daughters and 2 sons) who he dotes on (usually when Aubry asks him to do anything else!)

Hank is a really kind hearted and caring person. He is always ready to help his friends and see to them before he sees to himself.

A message from Aubry regarding Hank:

“Hank is growing as a person. He is learning responsibility and independence. He is also fighting this tooth and nail and trying to cling to his carefree childhood. It causes some fights and grumpiness. I know this summer will teach him so much and I am so proud of him for going after it.

I can’t wait for next year so I can volunteer to help in some capacity! Not sure if I want to get a job on a food truck, or try and get some kind of nurses certification or emt license, or even get a truck driving license!”

Welcome, Hank!
