Please welcome Andrew Yocom back to the 2022 Cavaliers. Andrew is a 2nd year Baritone serving as the co-section leader.
Andrew comes from a strong music pedigree, with mom marching in the Marine Corps and Army National Guard as a trumpet player, and with dad serving in the Marine Corps as a percussionist and Drum Major.
Andrew’s first exposure to DCI came in 2016 watching Prelims in the theater production.
After being inspired by the Theater performance, Andrew was hooked as he joined the marching band in 2017. He marched with the Academy’s Soundsport Corps, Phenom in 2018.
In 2019, Andrew realized his dream of marching DCI by earning a spot with Genesis on their trumpet line.
As 2020 rolled around, Andrew contracted with the Academy for the “season that wasn’t”. Then found a home in Rosemont with the Cavaliers for the 2021 Season.
Andrew attended Arizona State last year as a music education major. He enjoys filling his free time with working, sporting his Cavaliers Corps Jacket, hanging around with Marcus Fonville (another 2nd year Cavalier Baritone player), and with Megan, his girlfriend of 4 years, who is a brass player herself ( mellophone) and fan of the Madison Scouts.
