2022 Men Of The Green Machine – Shane Fisher

Please welcome Shane Fisher, first year Tuba, to the 2022 Cavaliers!

Shane is a ’22 graduate leaving Houston to join the Cavaliers for the first time. He was introduced to his first instrument, the Euphonium, in middle school band for 3 years and then moved to the Tuba in the top band for all 4 years of high school. The Bridgeland High School marching band made it to state his junior and senior years while he was the section leader for the Tubas. He also performed with the Winter Percussion Ensemble this spring and they made it to state as well, placing 2nd in their division. Shane will be playing the Contra with the Corp.

His band directors teachers introduced him to DCI and Shane auditioned for a couple of others before deciding to go for it with The Cavaliers audition for the experience. He came home saying that what was happening with The Cavaliers was amazing and he really wanted to be a part of it. Becoming a Cavalier was not something he dreamed he would be able to do as a first year member so he was beyond honored to be selected. Shane is a hard worker with whatever he sets his mind to do and he has been looking forward to joining this group of fellow dedicated corp members that are passionate about what they do.

Shane has played soccer for most of his life, seeks new experiences and adventures with travel, and also enjoys running. He will be attending the University of Houston in the fall with a major in Biology and a minor in Music. He is the oldest of three in the family and he is responsible, dedicated, kind, and easy to get along with. We have always seen two sides of Shane- he is either seriously focused on his goals or tasks or he can be a super silly prankster all about the fun!

Welcome again, Shane!
