Please welcome Jacob Cauley to the 2022 Cavaliers!
Jacob is a senior at TCU, studying music education. He graduated from Cypress Woods HS in 2019 in Cypress, TX where he played in the front ensemble all four years. He learned about DCI from his grandfather who took him to his first DCI show when he was still in elementary school.
Jacob first toured at the age of 15 with the Crossmen Winds group. His first DCI tour was with the Guardians in 2017. He then went on to perform with the Crossmen for 3 tours over 2018-2021. For his age out year, he was ready for a change and decided to audition for the Cavaliers. He will be playing marimba with the front ensemble this summer. Jacob is 6’3″ and blonde. You can’t miss him!
In his free time, Jacob enjoys writing and transcribing music and playing video games. When he was younger, he rode and raced BMX, motocross and mountain bikes.
Jacob started taking drum lessons at the age of 6. His dad is also a drummer so his love of all things drum began at a very early age. Jacob has done a lot of traveling, including all over the States, Europe and a week long rafting trip down the Grand Canyon!
As of this past Friday, May 13th, Jacob is now engaged to Megan, whom he met at a Crossmen audition when he was 16. His plans after graduation are to teach, work on his master’s and a possible last WGI tour!
