Please welcome Collin Sampson , first year timpanist, to the 2022 Cavaliers!
Collin learned about DCI from his percussion teacher, Nick Beaudet. Nick and Rick Drewery work in the same school district for the two high school bands. Rick asked if Nick new of anyone that could play the timpani and Mr. Beaudet suggested Collin.
When Collin isn’t focused on DCI, he plays his guitar in a jazz band with his church’s worship team. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (B.M.E.) K-12 Instrumental at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Another fun fact is that Collin has perfect pitch ( ought to come in handy when tuning those tympani! )
