Next up in our “Welcome To the Cavaliers” series is 1st year marcher Will Weissert. Welcome, Will!
Will lives in Bourbon, IN with his parents and twin brother Austin (not identical!). Will began playing trombone in 6th grade and picked up the baritone for marching band in 8th grade. In 8th grade Will’s director, Mr David Seel, showed him some Drum Corp videos. Will was hooked and a goal was set!
This will be his first year on tour. Will had a contract with the open corp Legends in 2019-20, but the pandemic kind of messed that up! This past fall, Will’s director and marching staff encouraged him to audition with a world class corp. Will really liked the Cavalier’s program and went for it!
Will enjoys playing guitar, hanging out with friends, playing a few video games & working at the local pizza place.
Will is pretty excited for this summer and so are his parents!
This fall, William will be attending Ball State University as a freshman studying music performance/trombone.
