Please welcome Christian Sanchez, Baritone, to the 2022 Cavaliers!

This is Christian’s first year with the Cavaliers. His first year in drum corps was summer 2019 with the Seattle Cascades. In 2020 he was contracted with Arizona Academy but we all know what happened that summer so he didn’t get to march. Last summer (2021) he marched with Genesis.
Christian started band in 6th grade as a trumpet player. His band directors needed a Baritone player so he volunteered to switch instruments. He was introduce to DCI summer going into his freshman year of high-school. He wanted to do research on good marching bands and came across the Cavaliers on youtube and instantly fell in love. Quite a few of his directors had marched with the Cavaliers and he was inspired by their stories.
Outside of marching band, Christian was a member of 4-H for 8 years where he showed goats, plants, food show, photography, leadership and community service. He earned a grand champion showmanship buckle AND a Bronze Star Award in 2013. Chris also loves to play tennis and competed in varsity tennis all 4 years of high-school. He was also one of the Drum Majors for his high-school his senior year. He just finished his freshman year at Texas A&M Kingsville where he Majors in Music Education and is a member of their marching band, pep band, and Symphonic band. Chris has 7 siblings and is the heart of his family. He is the family jokster, noisemaker, confidante and so much more.
